Now this is, I think, to help me with my sleep because my sleep is not all that good. I'll admit that. I don't know what it's a function of, age possibly, but recently perhaps the hot weather. This is a fairly addictive drug and will lead to addiction. It will stop working because you'll get used to the effect of the drug and it's not a drug you take on a long-term basis. This is the advice of the NHS and also the advice of previous doctors such as Dr David Lloyd from my practice. I don't know what is going on here. The doctor appears to be prescribing dangerous drugs. It's something my father used to tell me and perhaps something that the pharmacist that handed this prescription over to me should have commented on. A large percentage of hospital admissions are actually caused by iatrogenic doctors' prescriptions, that is, the prescribing drugs of a GP or a doctor, so one has to be careful here. Indeed one has to think whether medicalising a condition actually makes the condition worse, in a similar manner to how criminalising a behaviour actually makes the behaviour or the society which conducts the behaviour better or worse.
